Matter of Time is the debut collaborative album from Smook Deville (Chicago) and VictorousVIC (Melbourne, Australia). Following up on the momentum of singles ‘Making Future Plans’ and ‘Motivated by the Dreaming’, which gained radio rotation worldwide and landed them ‘Rising Artist of the Week’ on KillerHipHop.com. The duo deliver an ode to the music they grew up on, with the influence of late 90’s and early 00’s hiphop / rnb evident both in the album’s production and Smook’s lyricism. The cross-continental collaboration is a throwback to that era, with a distinctive ‘Chicago’ sound that still manages to sound current. Smook touches on issues from violence in his hometown, depression, and relationship issues, all the while never losing sight of his end goal.
