The Artist, an independent hip-hop musician living in North East Texas. Born Marquis Woods from Pinebluff, Arkansas, my first recording was at the age of 13 rapping with my older sister Adrien. Now, at the age of 26 I have grown as a writer, person & artist.  Lyrically inclined, soulful, and energetic are a few words that describe the hard work that I put into the booth & onto the stage.

New Music - B.White ft JCK - Groove

I was listening to this song and I had to move my feet, move my feet as in dancing. Although I was born in the 80's this song has that 1970's vibe. This 70's style is starting to become trendy with music lately. I can see this song going some where because although it is different in style it is fitting into the trend of music today. I can see my self spinning this at a Hollywood night club with a mixed crowd. Mix crowd being the best crowd, very diverse in style and I personally give it two thumbs up!!!

Chicago Artists Smook Deville & Victorious VIC Making Way To Top In A Matter Of Time

“Its just a Matter of Time, afraid of failure of my goals so I stay on my grind” – Smook Deville – “They Know”

Matter of Time is the debut collaborative album from Smook Deville (Chicago) and VictorousVIC (Melbourne, Australia). Following up on the momentum of singles ‘Making Future Plans’ and ‘Motivated by the Dreaming’, which gained radio rotation worldwide and landed them ‘Rising Artist of the Week’ on KillerHipHop.com. The duo deliver an ode to the music they grew up on, with the influence of late 90’s and early 00’s hiphop / rnb evident both in the album’s production and Smook’s lyricism. The cross-continental collaboration is a throwback to that era, with a distinctive ‘Chicago’ sound that still manages to sound current. Smook touches on issues from violence in his hometown, depression, and relationship issues, all the while never losing sight of his end goal.
